Overall fun ski/onsen experience with some challenges to be prepared for.
No one speaks English and they only accept cash. The hotel is very hard to get to as it is halfway up the first slope. You need to have a cat called to take you back and forth. The lack of English speakers makes this tricky to arrange. There are also few to no dinner options other than the one provided by the hotel. Come prepared with plenty of cash as there are no atms near by! The mountain and town itself could be updated. The town seems to have been built for the 1996 olympics and little has been invested into it since. Half the slopes were closed when we went so the slopes that were open were very easy and quick.
The dinner served is delicious and a fun experience, and breakfast is included. The Onsen experience was a treat as well.
